Running the software

Rvic is described in our MMCN99 paper. To play with it, grab the MASH toolkit, and run the following commands:

• on machine m1:

  mash tcl/rvic/main.tcl -ctrl 7654 <session_addr>

• and, on machine m2:

  mash tcl/rvic-client/main.tcl "m1"/7654

Caveats: The client snapshot is for an outdated version; there are now more "knobs." The server snapshot has only one source, which is not very interesting....
but you get the point.

Client:

The stuff on the left is a "universal client" container app; on the right is the rvic-client proper.

Server:

Yea, it has no knobs at all! That's the client's job.
