I was affiliated with the
Daedalus
and
MASH
projects, and finished my dissertation under the auspices of the
Ninja and
Endeavour
projects.
I was advised by Prof.
Randy H. Katz.
My dissertation is titled
Discovery and Adaptation for Location-based Services
Relevant interests include:
- location-dependent applications for mobile devices
- scalable service advertising:
wide-area service discovery, and its application to file sharing
- software for remote control of devices and applications
- composition of network services from lightweight, heterogeneous clients

(available in the Ninja
CVS tree) aka, wide-area querying in the Ninja Service Discovery Service
-
Room Controls for Soda Hall, implemented as part of the
MASH (now OpenMash)
toolkit, for room 326 and with the
BMRC folks for room 405.
