Directions from Spruce (coming from Campus/Hearst/Cedar/etc):
Take spruce north, up into the hills, past Los Angeles;
it will bend left and hit a stop sign at Marin, which is
easy to recognise 'cause it is very steep and kinda blind.
Cross Marin and take your next left onto Montrose. Our house
is at the next intersection.
Directions from highway 80:
Take the Buchanan/Albany exit (one after Gilman, two after
University), and turn right at the light. This drops you onto
Buchanan going east, which turns into Marin. Take Marin all
the way across Berkeley and you will hit a traffic circle
(called, ingeniously, The Circle). Look at the cute bears
on the fountain in the middle of the circle. (Ok, you don't
really have to do that.) Go directly across the circle and
Marin continues up a steep hill. Santa Barbara is the third
left after the circle. Take that left, staying right at the
immediate fork in the road to stay on SB. Our house is at the
next intersection (SB and Montrose), on the near left side.
